为蓼科植物球穗蓼的根状茎。

【药性】

苦，涩，微温。

破血调经，止血止痛：用于月经不调，红崩白带，肠炎，痢疾，慢性胃肠炎，胃及十二指肠溃疡，跌打损伤，外用治创伤出血等。

【化学成分】

根状茎含混合性鞣质。

【用量用法】

6—15g，水煎服。外用适量。
